R.I.S.E. Advocacy (legally Women's Aid Service, Inc.) is a Mount Pleasant, Michigan 501(c)(3) domestic-violence and sexual-assault emergency shelter serving survivors and their children across Isabella, Clare, and Gratiot counties. Its annual Halloween costume drive collects new and lightly used children's costumes — with drop-off at the Mt. Pleasant Discovery Museum — and gives them free so families with limited funds can take part in Halloween. Donations are gathered in the weeks before the holiday.
