What does Traveling Tutus accept?
Traveling Tutus accepts dance costumes.
Traveling Tutus is a Saint Cloud, Florida 501(c)(3) that collects new and gently used dance attire and routes it to children who would otherwise go without. The organization accepts ballet costumes, ballet slippers, leotards, and new tights in black, pink, and tan, which donors mail in year-round rather than during a seasonal window. Donated dancewear is distributed to children in international orphanages, children's homes, Title I schools, foster care, hospitals, and partner nonprofits. The all-volunteer program treats unneeded recital costumes as a precious resource that can be repurposed to bring confidence, self-expression, and joy to young dancers. Because intake is by mail, Traveling Tutus serves donors and recipients nationwide and abroad. Visit travelingtutus.org for the current mailing address and the list of accepted items.
