Project Fairy Godmothers accepts formalwear costumes.
Project Fairy Godmothers is a Roseville, Minnesota 501(c)(3), operating since 2014, that gives Twin Cities-area students free prom dresses, shoes, and accessories. The program has given away more than 2,000 dresses, collecting donations through partner St. Croix Cleaners locations, which clean the gowns before they are distributed. Its annual giveaway is held in spring — recent events ran in mid-April — with a donation drive that wraps up in late March. Students select a complete outfit at no cost. Visit projectfairygodmothers.org for this year's donation drop-off locations and giveaway dates.
