What does Becca's Closet accept?
Becca's Closet accepts formalwear costumes.
Becca's Closet is a Plantation, Florida-headquartered national nonprofit that provides free formal wear — prom dresses, homecoming gowns, suits, and tuxedos — to students who cannot afford them. Founded in memory of Rebecca Kirtman's youth volunteer work collecting dresses, the organization now operates volunteer-led chapters across the United States, with community drop-off locations searchable through the Find a Chapter directory on their website. Beyond dress distribution, Becca's Closet awards post-secondary scholarships and trains chapter leaders to start new programs in their own communities. The national office at 151 N. Nob Hill Road can be reached at (954) 424-9999; spring is the peak distribution season for prom events.
