Belle of the Ball is a program of Caring Partners, Inc., a Tewksbury, Massachusetts 501(c)(3), and is New England's largest prom-dress drive. Founded in 2005 with corporate partners Anton's Cleaners, Jordan's Furniture, and Rockland Trust, it collects gently worn gowns at roughly 200 Anton's Cleaners locations, dry-cleans them for free, and gives them to students at an annual Boutique Day. More than 1,000 students each year choose a free dress, shoes, and accessories, and the program has processed over 100,000 gowns since it began. Dress collection runs in late winter ahead of the spring boutique. Visit antons.com/belle for current collection sites, dates, and the student registration process.

Frequently asked questions
When does Belle of the Ball accept donations?
Feb-Apr is when Belle of the Ball runs its giveaway, meaning the window when students shop for a dress, not necessarily a donation deadline. Formalwear programs commonly accept donations year round even though they distribute in a narrow spring window, and the most useful time to donate is right after prom, when dresses are current and in good condition. Confirm intake timing with the program before you drive over.
Can I mail costumes to Belle of the Ball?
No. Belle of the Ball collects collection event or drop-off and serves Massachusetts & New Hampshire. If you are outside that area, look for a program closer to you, or use one of the 7 programs in this directory that accept mail-in donations from anywhere.
Is Belle of the Ball a registered nonprofit?
Belle of the Ball is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Donations to registered charities are generally tax deductible if you itemize, and the organization can issue a receipt. Ask them directly for their EIN and a written acknowledgement if you plan to claim the donation on your taxes.
